Are the advantage even top 5 in New England?

Re: New England’s Top Program Building a Rink?

Not even close to too 5 in MA in 2008

Re: New England’s Top Program Building a Rink?

Blanket statement and of course there are exceptions to every rule but top 7-8 players on every Advantage team are top 7-8 on any fed Elite team, any age group. That’s why the terriers kings breakers and eagles always be like hop in the rover and come over.

Re: New England’s Top Program Building a Rink?

Where in Rockland?

Re: New England’s Top Program Building a Rink?

Lovell hockey is a brand as much as it is a company. When you think of Lovell you think great skaters and good hockey teams and great coaching. People will travel from far and wide to be part of their hockey academy. If you say the Lovell’s aren’t good at what they do then you have no credibility. If you live south of Dedham why would you go to any other program?

Re: New England’s Top Program Building a Rink?

Good skills guys in Hingham (TL, JL just runs same crap over and over)

The best players locally have played for other programs. Lovells are good, but not top at anything. No local program is around here. A few good players but limited consistency. Look at his coveted 02 group. One cut from BC, his kid on 3rd college program because of his ego and lack of reality (did same thing to little TL in USHL) and nobody else from that team going anywhere…good players but never lived up to TL’s hype. Not even close. The good ones should have seen the light earlier. The good 03 needs to run for the hills like the 04 is.

TL basically has zero influence in the USHL or college ranks anymore because of his arrogance and huge ego and terrible advice.

Good skills coach, not a very good hockey coach, terrible advisor.

My Kids are 9 and 11. Advantage are kings of the south shore. Terriers and breakers are lucky they can’t get into the fed or it would be game over for everyone else. You can spot an Advantage skater in a crowd if you have half an idea what you are talking about. #Topdogs

If you’re autistic you think this. Lovell kids can’t skate anymore.

Limited vocab lurch?
Using disabilities for insults!
Mom picked a winner there, and kids are screwed.

Re: New England’s Top Program Building a Rink?

They aren't building it, just utilizing it

Re: New England’s Top Program Building a Rink?

Where in Rockland is this being built? At the old airbase?

Re: New England’s Top Program Building a Rink?

At the old airbase. Broke ground recently but you might not see it unless you hunt around. The former air base is a giant area with lots of construction.

The more sheets the better! Good luck to the Lovell programs!

Re: New England’s Top Program Building a Rink?

wonder if they're going to allow town and local high school programs to use this as well? If there are multiple rinks I would have to think so.

Re: New England’s Top Program Building a Rink?

Think they would move the Generals out of Attleboro?

They have nothing to do with generals anymore.

Re: New England’s Top Program Building a Rink?

I'd guess their 10 year lease a Pilgrim only has a couple years left so it's a great move. Local youth programs will be able to get ice at Pilgrim (word is Hingham Youth had zero ice there). Good for all.

Re: New England’s Top Program Building a Rink?

You know the lovells own Pilgrim

No they don’t dummy

Re: New England’s Top Program Building a Rink?

It's well documented that a "Non-profit organization" owns Pilgrim and they magically put their family members on the board and pay them all six figures to oversee that dump. The should at least use the $ to put in one quality sheet of ice with reasonable seating for Jr. & high school games...last I checked there is a lot of parking spots there.
