It was only a matter of time I suppose...Richy Rich bringing the academy model to Austin Prep just in time for his dream team to go that route. Playing out of Ristuccia.
Better than the online model on the south s****.
Who in their right mind would send their kid to an online academy?

Wonder if he\'ll pull his kid from St. Mark\'s for this...
The academies in New England are for kids who wouldn’t make their varsity team as a freshman or sophomore or even junior years.
Are you autistic ?
Gallant is one of the only people in New England who understands what elite hockey is. Everyone else is a pretender or their market is full of pretenders who want to mix JV or d3 public school hockey with AAA. He’ll pull it off, and much better than the midgets in Hingham.
Islander parents drinking the Gallant kool-aid, priceless.
Dummies will never get it. He is in it for 2 things. 1.His kids, (literally his offspring) and 2. for the money. Straight cash you dummies. Maybe if moronic parents would concentrate on supporting their kids win the game of life, instead of a game of hockey, they'd see this grifter laughing all the way to the bank.
Gallant Academy. Pshhhh. Hockey parents are a pathetic bunch.
Despite a few departures, Gallant still has the best 07 team in MA and one of top 3 in NE, and manages to play the most competitive schedule.
You could say that about a few different local programs. Having a top team for their age group, playing a competitive schedule. You act like it’s out of the norm. Are you new here?
Let’s do some fact checking here.
1) Richard the almighty does have a very good 07 team. They can compete with the top teams in the country
2) RG is in it for two reasons, first and foremost lil’ RG. Secondly, the money.
3) IHC 07’s are in the process of blowing up (8 kids at practice earlier this week) How will that impact the 07 group as they move to the ‘academy model’?
4) The guys who actually pull off having a good academy have years and years of experience doing so. RG and co. have zero experience with the academy model
5) Has anyone heard anything from AP in regards to this? It’s December

It’s very out of the norm. People outside of mass laugh at our pretend AAA. Mass hockey is a mockery. Nowhere else would an AAA player consider playing jv hockey or d2/d3 Hs hockey.
hockey used to be more competitive top to bottom round here. now we have absurd # of players in the system...and these local **** holes that want national recognition at 12u. We all suffer. Massachusetts and NE Hockey used to be better when I was a kid. Better development hands down. Trust in your genetics and work ethic not hockey culture.. its absurd.
Think outside the box..take the path less traveled its worth is weight in gold.

Its a leap of faith for most of you
You realize you've become that old man that sits on a porch and yells at the clouds...right? The nice thing about life is you have options. If you feel like the youth hockey systems is that "broken"...don't have your child do it. It's really that simple.
