14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

Looks like some real good hockey being played this weekend at Wellesley,Daly Rink, Porazzo, Warrior, etc.....

CP Dynamo, Buffalo Junior Sabres, Hartford Jr Wolfpack amongst a great lineup of teams.

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

Any link to the Sunday schedule? Could be some good LiveBarn action before Pats and US Open finals. Also Heard SPA, Kings/CCW, Eagles in the house. Any other local teams? BA, Militia, Rats, TG? Seems BA has gone silent since they opened up their new digs.

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

Didn’t find a website or schedule on line. No rats no militia.

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

No live barn at warrior for the final bje v ssk

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

DraftKings got the Eagles a 3 goal favorite, but then again, the Kings dont resemble the bottom tier team of yesteryear.

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

The draft kings losing $ today bc the ssk beat the bje

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

Got to give the SSK/Whalers kids credit for a nice win. Would they beat the Eags in a series?, doubtful. Having said that, the tourney website stats are enlightening,9 goals against in 6 games and plus 19 in GD. The pre season chatter I heard is spot on to a point, their 6 D are as good as any but the package is complete with shut down goalies and the 2 way play of the forwards. To further drill down, from the goalies out, the Kings have some D’S who can carry the play like a forward and forwards who can play cover D, not a bad formula to be competitive. Lastly, kudos to a coaching staff encouraging a system that highlights That kind of versatility.

As for the Eags, this loss doesn’t knock them off the perch of a top 10 team. They have more than enough skilled players to fly high moving forward.

Or maybe that eagles team just ain't all that

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

So what does this say about Militia who beat Kings twice?

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

It could be interpreted they all have skilled players, well coached, top goalies, so any game is up for grabs.

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

How many goals did Hymovitz and MaKhale score this past weekend? Both are slated to join Dexters Varsity in November, leaving 2 huge spots to fill on the Eagles.

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

umm, one of them doesn't even go to that school!

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

Much bigger issue would be if 11 decided to move somewhere. Kid scored over 50% of the goals and is a force!

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

11 is nasty, but his dad is a coach and if he moved him to say, MSC Academy, then he wouldn't have the opportunity to coach him there.

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

Take this with a grain of salt as the source was questionable, but I have heard 11 is currently looking at Shattuck St. Marys

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

I haven't seen the Militia team but if they beat the version of the SSK's I saw this weekend, its says they must be a good team

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

11s dad is no ordinary dad coach....any idea why you were sitting in Warrior?

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

11 coach wasn't the only butt warming those nice seats at Warrior. Seemed to be a who's who of coaches in attendance this weekend. My guess is they were evaluating their own Frosh or checking out uncommitted's.

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

Are you guys kidding me? The Kings must have been playing their spare players. Take a look at this roster. Half these kids wouldn't make a Town A Team. Are you people sure they beat this years 08 South Shore Kings?

National 08 team is solid.

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

This team?

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

https://www.militiahockey.com/roster/show/7148649?subseason=815378 Is the correct roster. This militia team is good but people need to chill. It is September hockey. Some kids didn’t get on the ice much this summer and everything is just starting back up.

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

why is this forum so horny for the eagles

Probably because they are the most consistent and re****ble organization that consistently has very good teams from U14 to u18. Name another Massachusetts program that can say that?

SO the Eagles are the only re****ble org in the MA because they consistently win?

Is it literally all about winning and stats?

Read the post......consistently has very good teams from U14 to u18. Name another Massachusetts program that can say that?

BJE have the better players, coaches and face better opponents. They are the Mass NB team.

If your kid was good enough to make one of their top teams, you would sign him up right away.

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

I'm on the south shore so it's pretty far for us. My kid is better than some of the players they have currently

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

What's all the jabber about their Assistant Coach?

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

Kings had their full roster and lost to Militia 2-0 and 7-6. Kings are still a good team.

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

The Daddy wannabe dopes still dont get it. It is not about wins and losses, or who beat who today. It still is about development, strong competition, both internally and externally, that will lead to improvements. And last but not least, an organization that will, expose, promote and "advertise" their players of note.

It was no accident this past weekend that at an Eagles event it drew attention from guys like me, along with prep and college evaluators.

Kids gravitate to Orgs like the Eagles or Whalers etc because they are experienced at providing quality hockey exposure, they promote thier kids on social media, by running exposure events and just as importantly, traditional communication methods.

Do you think the note takers gave a crap about who won the Eagles event? I didn't, I get zero return on reporting a score but I do get a stipend for a report on a prospect, and there certainly were many.

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

.... and just WHO THE HELL ARE YOU? Some former Boston Junior Eagles has been? What makes you so important? The Junior Eagles have mistreated and screwed mank kids over the years. Can you say, Brian Strait?

Do you have a 20 year old grudge?

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

So I take it you aren't a former Boston Junior Eagle. How much money did your father contribute to the program? Did you ever play ONE SINGLE SHIFT at the collegiate level? Let me guess, you went to Belmont Hill and were a 4th liner

Re: 14U Tier 1 Boston Jr Eagles Invite

He missed the big picture point. Do you think a D1 coach looking at a 18 year old puts any weight in a kids U14/15 teams record?

Having said that, The Eagles and other Orgs do a good job in putting kids in a position to succeed and be noticed. Cant argue that.
