Flames 2012 vs Railers 2012? These two local teams have been ducking each other. Why not play each other? Travel time from both rinks is 15 mins! DCU center always looking for a good match up. Get the game on the calendar before a Worcester Railer games and raise money for a great cause for both teams!! Get it done directors. My hockey rankings is not the solution to determine who is better. Only solution is a head to head match up! Get it done!!

Thanks Railers dad. You know as well as anyone that EHF/E9 match ups don’t happen unless I’m a non league tournament and even then it’s happenstance. Plus Flames coach would never agree to it.

And that's what makes MA hockey stupid.

It's the EHF that doesn't allow itself to play E9 teams other than in tournaments. They play the same teams over and over again within their league which gets boring but refuse to play E9 teams. The E9 often wants to play EHF teams. I'm guessing it comes down to EHF doesn't want to give them what they want and they just want people to leave e9' teams to go play for them. They think their keeping themselves exclusive or something and don't want to deal with regularly losing to E9 teams which happens.

It would make sense to have the better E9 teams play EHF teams for competition but the EHF is apparently too scared or likes to dangle this carrot over the E9

My son's EHF team scrimmages E9 teams every year. So like most know-it-all donkeys on the board, you have no idea what you're talking about.

But it happens very infrequently.

I've heard lately that EHF teams are getting more uptight about playing E9 teams even though it doesn't count towards their standings or the all so important myhockeyrankings. I think the better E9 teams are sometimes looking for a 'challenge' as they don't often get that from some of the other e9 teams they play again. Sadly I think the goal or hope of EHF is that if the E9 folks want more of a challenge just need to just leave E9 and go play for EHF. It's a strategic move on their part. Sometimes the E9 coaches just want the kids to be challenged, they don't care about rankings, just development but EHF says no. No one wants to level the playing field so to speak.

I would bet that your a platinum team or lower level elite. The top elite teams are afraid to play top E9 teams.

"Raise money for a great cause." Great idea. People would pay good money to see this game. Tickets would be the hottest commodity in town. A 10-year old hockey game. I can only imagine the amount of money this game would raise. Six figures, do you think?
