Elite Spring Tournaments

For Peewees, what are the elite spring tournaments and how does someone figure out who has a team going and if their kid can get a look?

Re: Elite Spring Tournaments

Local- 2010 Mini Chowder Cup
2010- Big Apple
2011- top tier Pittsburgh
2011- triple crown Montreal
2010-top tier
2011- triple crown Austin

These are the main events. Not easy to find a team that can truly compete at these tournies unless your kid is known ehf elite high level kid.

Everything else is going to have the typical talent levels that you see most of the year.

What if you don't live in Boston so you don't play in the EHF? Is there a way to get a quick look?

Many Spring programs have eval skates. Best place to see info is on Instagram or Twitter. Search which teams were at tourneys last year then look them up on social.

Re: Elite Spring Tournaments

it all depends what shows up talent wise. Its not consistent. And the other thing to keep in mind is 2nd year peewee going into first year bantam some tourneys play by peewee rules others by bantam. My son is a 2006 but I distinctly remember the circus of arguments on there is hitting or there isn't hitting with a tourney. So make sure you know what you are getting, which means make sure your kid keeps his head up regardless.
