I see this said over and over again pretty much anything related to hockey but I'm seeing it more and more about simply being on a team.
Someone has to teach your kid to skate, show them skills and yes you pay to be on a team, help pay for ice time and you might pay even more to be on a good team.
It's someone's choice to add on additional outside skills and do spring/summer tournaments, etc.
I'm just kind of tired of hearing people say, oh most of these teams are just a money grab. Guess what the house you live in was also a money grab for someone. So is the car you drive, the coat you wear to the rink, vacation you went on last month.
Why do some of these people even put their kids in hockey if it's all just a 'money grab'.

Okay Coach Cuff
Oh I'm not personally. We pay to be on a team, no complaints about it, we pay for travel when we need to. It is what it is. There are other things I hate paying for but I'm good with what we pay for hockey. I am not the one who calls everything to do with hockey a money grab.
My favorite is when parents talk about their kid getting a "contract". It's not a contract, its a bill.
but once you sign it and pay the bill I don't you get a refund even if you want one?
I’ve been here long enough to see this same stupid argument made countless times. Probably the same guy/gal grinding my gears. I wanted to have a quick reference point for a quick copy and paste next time.
What’s worse? The guy that doesn’t like the word contracts, or the guy that doesn’t like the guy for not liking the word.
