My favorite is when parents talk about their kid getting a "contract". It's not a contract, its a bill.
When real estate is "under contract" is it a bill for the buyer or a contract?
When a professional athlete is "under contract" is it a bill for the team or a contract?
When an amateur athlete is "under contract" is it a bill for the parents or a contract?
Let's dive deeper...
con·tract - a written or spoken agreement, especially one concerning employment, sales, or tenancy, that is intended to be enforceable by law.
I believe that all of the examples above would be considered written agreements that are intended to be enforceable by law.
I'm sure you're also confused about the definition of law so here it goes...
law - the system of rules which a particular country or community recognizes as regulating the actions of its members and which it may enforce by the imposition of penalties.
Once a player is "under contract" or "billed?" they are subject to the (EHF) rules that regulate the actions of its members and which may be enforced by the imposition of penalties.
I hope that clarifies things for you :slightly_smiling_face:
See you again, with the same stupid argument, the next time "contracts" come up.

That was a lot of words to argue semantics. This is your hill? You don't want to save some fight for the parent who refers to their kid's team as "our team" or "we need to win this".
I’ve been here long enough to see this same stupid argument made countless times. Probably the same guy/gal grinding my gears. I wanted to have a quick reference point for a quick copy and paste next time.
What’s worse? The guy that doesn’t like the word contracts, or the guy that doesn’t like the guy for not liking the word.

Isn't money also a way to store value from actual work. Contacts get paid with work.

These contracts only started because of people not paying their bill. Its a bill that is more legal so that the team doesn't get burned by a deadbeat or someone that jumps from team to team.

It's not a bill, it's a "tuition" payment.
Oh crap here we go again.
