My kid is at bottom of team skill wise. Has some speed but no hands or size. He’s isn’t productive points wise. Guess what, he gets a spot year after year because I put in about 15 hours a week for the team. I deal with all the Bs. I take calls whenever someone reaches out. I buy practice jerseys and not everyone pays. I spend more time teaching other people’s kids than I do mine. I also work 2 jobs and have another kid who plays 3 sports. Dont worry, your kid will be ok and still make it to the show if my kid is on the roster.

Now this is a team I would like my son to play on!!!
Is there anything worse than coaches kids. You end up losing real talent cause the coach is too chicken **** to realize his kid sucks.
It’s a necessary evil in youth hockey. We have 2 out of 3 coaches’ kids who are the worst on the team
You’re a loser coming here to **** on your kids teammates and the coaches kids. If it’s so bad then find another team. Or maybe it isn’t that bad and you don’t know what you’re talking about and think your kid is a super star. Hopefully you tell him how bad his teammates suck and the coaches kids suck on your car rides home too. That really helps their love of the game

End of the day as long as coach treats his own kid like everyone else in terms of discipline and playing time (in line with his ability) who cares if the kid is top or bottom. The coach is part of the package too. Switching that kid for another bottom 5 player isn’t going to make the team better. Now if the coach is delusional about his own kid that is a different story and they both need to go.
