My relative, Wilhelm Fredrich Schmalzle was born on February 22, 1847, in the town of Lomersheim in Wurttemberg. He and his family emigrated to the USA. He became an Indian guide, Scout, and Courier to General Miles and Lieutenant Baldwin. I would like to know where the Schmalzle house is and a picture of it for my genealogy records. I remember seeing this memorial when I was in the US Army stationed in Wuerzburg in May 1980 through December 1981. I was always amazed by this memorial and the fallen soldiers! |

several years ago during one of my trips to europe(including germany)I acquired an old pocket watch that had engraving,in inside cover,"Ant. Kippmann"Marburg.This was done in a fancy scroll so it could be Kiffmann or Hippmann etc.also on outside of back cover are initials MM.I look for persons that may be connected to this wwII article. |
