If you had a divorce agreement (if you went to a Lawyer, you should have received one) it would state whether you are getting his social security benefits upon his death like I am when my ex passes. Talk to the Lawyer who handled your divorce or get one if you didn't have one about all of this or look at your divorce agreement if you have one to see what it says. See if you can find his Will in the house if he has one to see where his money is going.
