I am also going through divorce. Unfortunately, I did not want the divorce, but I knew it was inevitable. We did try to fix what was broken on several occasions and ultimately there was nothing left to be saved. I feel tremendously hurt and alone, but I know it is something that I have to face. I spoke to a lawyer and he should file next week.

I’m in same situation, we tried to patch things up and start a new chapter in our lives but she was willing to forgive. She did not want to go through mediation nor marriage counseling. I did my best to work things out but her heart is far removed from me. Gotta move on with my life.

When I was preparing to file for divorce, my attorney had me take half of the funds in our joint accounts and place in an account in my name only.

You should be entitled to half of the funds in your joint accounts.

I'm in TN, I don't know if the laws are different in your state.
