Divorced for 10 months but still best friends with him. So confused

My ex husband and I we were together for 28 years. High school sweet heart. We have 3 young adults. We are a very close family. My ex-husband and I new it was time to get divorced. We were very unhappy with each other. Held on for a long time. It was a very easy divorce, we decided to go 50/50 with all of our stuff.
Even though I see him my heart is so broken crying every day. Hate living alone. I’ve been living with him since I was 18 years old I am now 47 years old.
I am so confused. Should i continue my friendship or should I cut ties?

We are a group of Cal Poly students studying entrepreneurship and are currently taking a customer development class.
