I am not familiar with LA, but I will say that my mother moved into a very nice retirement community in Virginia a few years ago and it has been wonderful for her.
Before she moved in she was very isolated taking care of my father. She did not have many close friends and no outside activities. Now she is so busy I can barely get her on the phone! She has so many friends and activities. She goes to dinner with friends 3-4 times a week, she goes to classes, activities, exercise classes, etc. She is a bit younger than other residents, so she enjoys volunteering and helping her neighbors. It has been great for her.
She is in a facility with a fairly large financial "buy-in", but that ensures that the residents are well taken care of and she is guaranteed a place in their assisted living and nursing care facilities if and when she needs them.
I think if you have the finances, then you should be able to afford a nice place and I'm sure you will be able to make new friends and not feel so alone.

I feel some kind of relief knowing that are still good places ... I am glad that your Mother is doing well and is being involve in so many activities and found some friends
Hopefully I will be lucky to find a nice facility that provide all this things and hopefully they will not take advantage just for the money that I will pay for staying there but actually take care of me and all the people that really needs care when They become sick .

I would suggest moving to a great community like the one in Virginia. Do not stay in California! All the facilities here only want your money and the care takers do not care one bit. DO NOT tell people you have money EVER! You will be taken advantage of if you tell people this. Get some legal advice to assure you are properly taken care of.
