Want to head for the salt water and do some striper fishing. Anyone been lately??? (not going way to the Cape) Want to go out of Hampton or Newburyport. I heard the dog fish are EVERYWHERE! Any recent reports??
Weekdays are definitely best, there on the flats on chunks and lures, guys have been saying they're getting keepers in the quiet hours. I was there Sat am and had no prob scraping up some schoolies, too many boats for me though.
On our way in from offshore we got 4 in the Piscat under the 95 bridge in just a few drifts....20", 24", 26", and my buddy from work got his first fish ever...40" and 20lbs. All on mackeral chunks. Good luck.
Hey forry, I might be out on joppa tomorrow as well. chan 12.. I have a blue lund. What time are you heading out there. I heard they were getting 34-40inch stripers there last week.

This weekend Cashman park is closed all 24 hours the 5th (sat) they have fireworks in town that night so don't plan on fishing out of Cashmans on Sat unless you go to Salisbury which will prob be a nightmare. The closure could be longer, I'm not entirely sure.
Fished the outgoing tide last Thurs. eve drifting bottom bouncers with clams/squid/artificials from Salisbury out to the last channel marker. Plenty of fish over the structure area--some keepers.
