Me and some buddies will be up next week and I am new to the area and looking for some good places preferably shore accessible but we do have a boat. Also, what kind of bait/lures would you recommend.
Also, what other kinds of fish are hitting really well right now that you can eat (besides bass because they're spawning/catch and release) and also prefer from the shore
There is a small shallow area behind Nine Acre Island and over in 19 mile bay at the docks I could not believe the numbers and size of yellow perch. It was pretty amazing. Oddly enough we were actually fly fishing for them using small streamers and an egg sucking leech. The store at the docks will be opening friday as well.
