Short report (Monday night)

We spent Fri-Tues at the lake (camping out of Long Island Br CG). While I was hoping to get out several times, the weather was just so nice that my family spent most of the time in the water. Monday night, we boated down to Wolfboro for dinner and I brought the fishing gear just in case I could talk my wife into letting us drop by Rattlesnake on the way home. Well we did have some time so we hit Rattlesnake around 20 minutes before sunset and I put out two leadcore rods (5 colors) and 2 downriggers at 30 feet (one "plain jane" and the other dressed with vertical flashers).

I had a different lure on each rod and all 4 were hit in the short 20 minutes we fished. We boated 3 fish (2 nice lakers at 21 and 25 inches and 1 very healthy 5 pound salmon). One hit was quickly "self released" and another broke my line due to a failed Chamberlain release (that release is broken and totally seized). Not bad action!

My youngest son (8) caught the big salmon and absoluately loved his "shiny fish". I don't know how to post pictures on this site or I'd put a few up. Loads of fun but the wife was cold so we had to pick up gear and head out :^( It was a great short trip - 20 minutes of fishing is a lot better than 0...lol

Re: Short report (Monday night)

You had more action in 20 minuets than I have in two weeks on Squam, 5 pounder too, WOW. Your wife must be a good luck charm, I'd take her with you all the time.

Re: Short report (Monday night)

Big John, Verizon has a phone called the Boulder, I have had mine for two & 1/2 years now, dropped it in a 2' puddle at last years winni derby 2 days after I bought it, picked it up (it was ringing in the puddle LOL) answered it and worked fine. Just last week, left stupid thing in my pocket, wife put it through the wash and rinse cycle. Never missed a beat. It is waterproof up to 30meters, and tough as nails, It was originally made for the military but then they started selling it to the public. Best phone I've ever had and I'm not easy on them. If I can forget it in my back pocket, sit my big behind down on it and it doesn't break LMAO then it's tops in my book LOL Take Care God Bless LOL Dave P.S. Did you try putting the whole phone in uncooked rice?

Re: Short report (Monday night)

Well I bought a new phone, I'll try it anyhow even if only to get my contact info back. Only a few guys sent me their phone info overnight, maybe I wont need a phone that much, lol.
