Sun report

Trolled a couple hours this evening 6 - 830PM. Six and seven colors- GS and TG smeared with Bioedge smelt wand. 2mph avg 1 nice super fat laker about 4 lbs and a couple runt salmon all caught in the triangle and released- would have liked to see what was in the laker though, it was a bull dog and held bottom till right under the boat.

Re: Sun report

Why didn't you harvest the Laker and satisfy your curiosity, Winni can certainly do without one laker.

Strange Winni guys keep getting yearing Salmon, we hardly catch any on Squam, maybe 3 the past 6 weeks.

Re: Sun report

Hey John, You are right about the one less laker..The fish spit the hook in the net, and fought like a champ- so i figured he earned his release and I already have a couple hook wounded fish in the freezer.

Gotta love it when the hook rolls out when in the net and I agree if they are healthy put em back.. I'd love to catch a 6 or 7 pounder that is too big to put back, healthy or not but just about over the hill, but they have been eluding me lately.

I'll be giving it hell every day first 10 days of July, I'll find a few that will make a mistake.

I complain allot, but I love being on the water fishin all day, catchin or not. Boating and fishing traffic has been non-existant most days.
