Hi Barry, I am looking at the same one. Paid similar amount for my american made lorance, the eagle. I liked it when it works, have had to replace it three times and now that I own it and no warranty, it is not even heavy enough to be an anchor. Oh well, so if u buy first let me know, and I will do the same. Am thinking bout the 7 though,just HATE to shell out money again. The navionics mapping is great though, have only lost one rigger weight since purchasing it 5years ago, and that's because I was foolish enough to leave it on in the water at 35mph.....
