Great Week

had an awesome week on the big lake. 35 kings. 2 cohos, 1 brownie...Biggest fish was 30lb (6 of them)Had flat water for the first 6 days but real hot and sunny.14.5 hours per day. I'll take the heat any-day over the waves.
High points were Johnny hand lining in a 30 pounder, cooking a wire reel, me getting tripples on Wed and getting all 3 in, and our 13 fish day in the trench. Nice seeing CC and roof rafter at Henchins.....Salmon slashers/spin doctors/11 inch e-chips with pro ams/hammers....
Fishing in close to the river (50-80) 125 on the wire was hot, out in the deep stuff it was 400. Riggers were slow. Nice talking to Roland and Lena most of the week.
1 more trip out with the boat to Sunapee this weekend before it gets put up for the winter and all the hunting drab gets taken out. My kid caught a nice 7lber (salmon) just before we left for Ontario.
Came home to 265 pics on 1 camera from the hill, 4 different racks.....
Good luck to all.

Re: Great Week

I like both the blue and the green hammer, but the pro-ams took more fish for us this year. Ginny(Port Ontario) made us up some special ones. I think the lenght of the leader was as important as the color.
My fingers and hands are still all cut up!!
Jrs is convienant for us since we stay 200 yards from there and had him clean our fish daily. But Stoneys out on 3 smokes for 25$ and is as good. Little more of a ride, but those boys are also heavy into it....
