About 4-7 inches of ice about a hundred yards out from shore beyond that very thin ice. Fished shiners for about 3 hours this evening with no flags. Others on the ice had no luck as well. Did see some smelt under ice once the sun went down. Will try smelt tomorrow.

Hi, I fish wolfeboro alot but never this early. were you in the bay? I like to fish winter harbor. Does anyone know how much ice is out on winter harbor.
