Well with all the good reports coming, Ben, Michele and I made the trip to Converse yesterday leaving at 3am and arriving at 6. Fishing started slow but we managed to pick it up and ended up with 8 Laker's 1 Salmon and a small brown along with a few knock off's. Ben and I each manage a 9 - 10lb laker which were released. We were surprised that the fish were so high getting most fish from 16 to 20'. We use marked steel line and most fish came off that at 175' out. The Purple Black Honey Bee and a Yellow Tiger with Orange DB smelt took most fish. Fished Thompson Point and Split rock. Will have to get back soon as these reports of big Salmon have really increases the fever I have for these giants.
