I actually found a way for work to give me a break and made it out for a whole 2 hours Saturday morning. The trip reminded me more of a shakedown cruise than a fishing trip! I managed to break a bolt that holds the downrigger on the mount on one rigger and then the cable snaped on my other rigger and amazingly enough I didn't lose any gear! I ended up running 1 rigger and 1 leadcore. I picked up one 2 year old female on 6 colors put her on ice and headed home to cook her up for breakfast. There is nothing better for breakfast than fresh fish and eggs.
