I don't &&&&%%%%***^% believe it this is the 4th time I'm trying to answer this post. After alot of typing each time, I keep hitting a key and it's GONE ??????? But I'll try it again, I hope I can remember what I said in the other 3 attempts, **** I hate it when that happens..

Well they said it coudn't be done, but two Frenchman, one admitidly dumb and one not so dumb, I'll let you decide which is which, managed to get Big Dave's Donkey off his back.

For it to happen on Dave's long delayed maiden voyage on the "YOAdrien" couldn't have been more perfect. God knows I tried, but it took a "real Pro" to get the job done.

I wish I could have been there to see the look on Ambers face when that "Big Boy" came aboard, must have been priceless. I see Amber got a nice Laker too, but I hope she is not a chip off the old block, she's to sweet a kid.

Great job Dave, I knew you had what it takes, now who's next.

The Donkeys are all gone now, at least the ones that I knew of, but there are at least a few Skunks to be dealt with that I can remmember, Popeye still has one from Squam and maybe Laker Taker too, same Lake.

Nice fish Dave, YoAdrien. What were you guys using for attractors? Did you use scent to get the big one? I hear lakers almost require scent, though I have / had not used it for lakers before but am planning to at Moosehead in a couple weeks. I'll be taking my 8 year old girl with me...someone has to drive while I fish...How old is Amber?

No attractor near lure at all, lure was way back over 100 feet from ball and smelly jelly was on the lure but i need to make it known that i am not a consistant user of scents on my lures. this is the first day i have ever put scent on my lures. also it was the slowest day i had all season. I am sure scents help in some and maybe all situations but i have purposely NOT USED SCENTS for the last 3 years just to prove to myself it is not that necessary to catch lots of fish, i have no way of knowing but i doubt on many of my trips the last 3 years where i landed in excess of 30 fish that i would have gotten many more with scent and in the opposite maybe the slow days i could have caught twice as many with scent? who knows. i am going to use it the rest of this year and maybe beginning of next and cross referance catch rates we will see? only problem is that i keep developing and using new ways to attack salmon and trout and i know i have gotten better at it consistantly and don't know how to plug in the variable?
I say whatever makes you feel confident go with it, and never give up, put a booger on a Q-tip out there if they won't hit what you have on, you can't catch any less and you might find a new secret weapon!

You know, I was kind of wondering why/how the smelly jelly looked brand new? Didn't even give it a thought that I hadn't seen you use scents before.
Now that you say you've gone three years without it, I think I'm gonna stop. In all honesty I HATE the smell of that stuff. I always forget to put it on half the lures anyways... so what the heck. I'll just skip it and not have the ol' "stinkfinger" all day.

When you say you're always changing your approach, you aren't kidding. I think every time I've been with you we've used new and sometimes experimental techniques. Only once have I seen one of your experiments not produce....
Todays array of lines was pretty spectacular. As Tom said, it was amazing how we had that many lines in the water without a single tangle. (Well, we had one, but it was minor and happened while fighting a fish not just while trolling)
Folks, we had 10-12 lines in the water a great deal of the day (Yes, 6 fisherpeople on board) That's a lot of opportunity for tangles, but Adriens spreading and stacking techniques made the day a joy. And no... there were no planer boards used! This guy is impressive!

Long story short... like Dave said... if you have time book a charter with Adrien. You will learn sooo much just watching him. It really is amazing what he pulls off on that boat.
