Rough weekend

Headed up to Sebago last weekend with the family, great weather but cold at night in the camper so I turned on the heat! Heard a loud noise so I turned it off and we bundled up for the night, the next day I dropped the family off at my parents place on Nasons beach and I went back with my father to pressure wash the trailer and check out the heat problem...BIG mistake, we turned on the heat and everything was working fine so we let it run while I washed the camper. Then it happened, FIRE!!! We managed to get the fire out but lots of dammage.
Thank god nobody got hurt! I did manage to fish Monday with the wife and two kids, and my 3 year old son caught his first fish, a Laker! Not big but it was alot of fun he was thrilled! Great ending to a bad weekend! Tight lines, Bob

Thanks Dave,it is a 1995 no warranty but it is insured, I am waiting to hear from the insurance co. I am not sure what happened. Hopefully it gets resolved quickly.

Re: Re: Re: Rough weekend

Good time of year to buy one if it's totaled, everyone is looking to dump them before winter sets in, which I'm, afraid wont be that long. For some people (camping types) it (winter) starts September 1st.

Glad to hear you and your family are fine. We started a vacation like that years ago, flat tire on the trailer crushed my finger trying to change it (can't remember how)I was a hurtin unit the whole vacation.

If I remember correctly that was the year we went to Champlain, kids caught some nice Pike and Bass, I drove the boat, finger hurt too much to fish.. From there we went to one of the Conneticut lakes and the wife wouldn't get out of the car, to desolate and remote for her. We ended up at some Lake in North Conway, long drive from Champlain to Pittsburg and then to N. Conway, wasted a whole day.

How the hell did I get off on that story, oh well, as long as you are all safe and sound.
