Lena and I fished Lake Ontario again this weekend, our last weekend for this year. Friday was very good, Saturday we only fished 1/2 a day because of the wind. Sunday the rain, wind, and heavy fog came in, made it difficult. Monday we only fished till 10:00 am, again the fog was very thick and the winds picked up and produced 5-6 footers. The lake was amazingly cold; most places of the lake water was 42 degrees on top and less when yu check the depths. With water temp that cold it made the fishing tough. We were able to boat 16 fish, 13 Kings, 2 nice Coho's and 1 Steelhead. Our biggest fish for the weekend was not as big as we wished, several were at 23 to 24 lbs. The biggeer will have to wait till next year. Anyone who plans on going up bring more clothes, with the water temperature and wind it was springtime chilly out there. Good luck. Roland
Was reading all the reports during the week about the water fliping. Must of sucked. Happened to me a few years ago.
If everything keeps going in the direction the lake is heading, they will be a tad bigger next year!!
