I'm already looking ahead to next year (tears, violins) and I want to install a planer board mast set up near the bow. I notice masts mounter on Travis' and Slipknots' boats in the "Showboats." Ideally, I'd like to go with a removable mast (for summer months when I likely won't use them). Any suggestions on makes, models, installations? I've got a 18-ft Alumacraft deep v, have a good / flat area for mounting near the bow...Thanks in advance.

The mast I have is a Big Jon and it is removable. Only a small base that stays permanently bolted to the floor. Loosen one bolt and the mast comes out. Presto.

Slip - sounds like a good system...looks good on your boat too. Heard anything about the Fishlander masts?
