Talked to reel it in at the launch [ames farm] around 5:oo Am We both agreed fishing was on the slow side. I began up at long island area and managed between 5:30 & 7:30 2-small baby salmon @ 47' on a red and white top gun. 1-Laker @ 52' pumpkin head lure. heard chatter that fishing was good down south [Black Pt area] So I decided to troll across the broads and go along the snake. While trolling I found a nice thermo around 62' 56 to 57 Degrees so I dropped down to that area and popped a rod in 85' @ 62' and was tied to a 7# laker measuring 27" Nice healthy fish. I ended up releasing him back to the depths. This fish swam away with endless energy Its allways nice to release just as much as catching!! [No net needed Tail grab]Also caught 3-more small salmon near the snake on the 43ft rod thanks to reel it in. Here is the worst part!!!!!!!!!!! No camara on board only the fish story. Good chatter on the radio reel it in,salmoneer, ardvark, and a few other fisherman.

Laker was caught on a smelt gun purple/white hammered copper smooth on the back 62' over 85' east side of the snake directly in the middle.

I put a bobhouse out every year it has all the comforts of home. The only issue is I put it waaaaay out. 2-miles plus from glendale. All is welcome.

think of ice fishing like fishing off the barge, its all about the comfort. of coarse you need good clothes, but thats only part of it. big groups of people with several stoves cooking loin roasts, venison, chili, soups, ive even cooked up bacon wrapped scallops and deep fried shrimps out on the ice. some days with the sun it can actually feel hot out there. dont forget the first aid kit bag filled with your choice of beverages. and occasionally you can catch some big fish

Yeah you will the thing about Ice Fishing is that you have to run (Or in my case walk fast LOL) to the flags If it's a busy day (IE: lots of flags) you get plenty of exercise or you can cheat like me and use the 4 wheeler LOL Take Care God Bless and Tight Lines LOL Dave From up North

Dave, I thought we could just sit inside a comfy bob house, watch footbal on TV and stay warmmmmmmm, with the "tips ups" right inside the house ???? I didn't know there was allot of excersize involved, my wife will be happy to see I'm getting some excersize at least.
