Took my brother in law Val out on his first Salmon trip today. 6 Salmon and a laker. All on the riggers. Nothing on lead. He did better than me. I had 3 ldr's and he had one. He landed a nice female salmon that was 21" and weighed 4 1/4#. He also landed a 19" male that fought like a demon. He took a lot of line several times. I slowed the boat way down and cleared all the lines thinking it was a monster, and didn't want to lose it. Could not beleive the fish was only 19" when I netted it. Anyway Val was thrilled by his first time salmon fishing.

Good job Salty, that's the best report of anyone in a week or so.

Hope it warms up (fishin, not the weather) good for the last two weeks.

Good Job this morning Salty ! It was nice chatting with on the radio this afternoon. We didn't go fishless after all but starting at 11 and have to quit at 230 I was beginig to wonder. We ended up with 3 salmon and one decent laker. Two of the salmon were runts one was about 17 the laker was 19. Oh and one LDR Nothing down on the south end of Rattlesnake. We caught all fish off Diamond island
