My granddaughter is doing well, doesn’t seen to be in any pain, there are only two areas about the size of a quarter each that may need skin grafts, one in the rib cage the other under her arm. They will keep her in 24 to 48 hours more to keep an eye on the progress, next few days will tell if rafts are needed. The rest they feel should eventually result in minimal scaring. Of course they do not make any guarentees, but said they were confident that with time she should be as good as new.
We are hoping she can come home by Christmas Eve, thanks to all that sent prayers and well wishes, it was appreciated very much.
Going into the hospital now, bringing her two sisters to have her birthday cake, she didn't want any til they could come in. Sounds like a happy little 4 year old.
That is good news, it obviously could have been a lot worse. I have a soon to be 5-year old who sometimes does not "get it" about safety issues and this is a wake up call. Hope she has a speedy recovery John.
That's terrific news. Kids heal unbelievable quick,as we as parents know. this will be just something her parents will be telling her kids about. Merry christmas to your family and to all on this site.
