i use it a lot in the ocean and on foggy days.
most all of my charters on winni we leave in the dark and are set up before the sun is very bright i use it a lot then too i find it very useful but not necessary for lakes. i don't have a great radar i think it is a jrc and i paid @ 600 for it i think it is worth it to me. It would be easy to hook a scanner to your e series just decide if it is worth it to you.
thanks for your opinion. I would only use it on lakes and I am trying to justify another grand for it. It would be nice to do everything at once. I usually don't go out on foggy days for fear that someone will hit me not me hitting someone else. It would be nice to find out where everyone is fishing on a large lake.
