charlies charters and I fished winni today out of roberts cove in alton , their was a good 6 to 7 inches of ice we were able to make it out to the mouth of the cove past plum island we tried everything and ended up with 1 bite while jigging with a perch colored bucktail jig with cut bait all in all a great day to be on the ice warm and no wind. by derby time we should have a good foot of ice if it stays cold till then . their is some jagged ice about half way out of the cove to the east end of plum island. had a great time charlie and see you out their derby weekend .
