i went up to waukeewan this morning,,i didnt launch tho..heres why ..rolling whitecaps,,and strong winds,,not that i mind a lil wind, but..i only had my electric trolling motor on my 14 foot boat ..why ??? because i took 25 horse off because the book i read on waukeewan states "no gas motors" i stopped by and saw A.J and he said no way..gas motors are allowed..i showed him the book...i bought it at nh f/g..its titled trout ponds of n.h.,,written by paul vanderwende ..2004 edition..then the fishing rule book states"restrictions near intake" whats the scoop on this ? looking forward to hearing back from you on this matter.
thanks
stan
Hi Stan, We should probably let Fish & Game know about the error in the book so it can be fixed. There is no motor restriction on Waukewan and as far as I know never has been. I know of several people who live on the lake that have boats. About 15 years ago I went tubing there with a lake resident. Just in case anyone has doubts last year when the water level was WAY up they put a temporary no wake rule on the entire lake and there was a fish and game boat (with large outboard) patroling constantly! Just a typo I guess. As far as the restriction near intake I am not sure but please inform me if you find out. I hope this helps. Good luck and please let me know how you do when you go.
