Don't discount funny looking lures. Several years ago a fellow who sold stuff to my company (I was the Purchasing Manager) gave me some spoons. Actual teaspoons, with holes drilled and treble hooks. He claimed they would catch fish. They sat in my tackle box for years, one day on Champlain I threw one on because nothing was working. BAM!! 20 " laker!! Don't know where these are any more as I keep making room in my tackle box for DB's, Top Guns and whatever else Jason and Alan show me when I am in lure heat!!

Pretty sure that Coolwater has a story about lure made from a pc of jewelry that did catch a fish.

I'm going to stick to talking the fish into the boat. No lures needed this year.
