the easiest thing to do is get yourself 2 leadcore set-ups. we have had some great action all year with 3-4 colors at about 1.7-2.0 mph. use anything orange and/or silver and you cant go wrong. when you get the hang of trolling step up to using downriggers. you'll need them for most of the rest of the summer due to the fact that the salmon will start to get deep because of the water temp. you really will need some type of fishfinder so you can tell where the thermocline is. give 'em heck.
