Haven't been on Winni since the derby. What a day we had! On the water at 5am just outside of Wolfeboro Bay. Small flies were the trick at first. When it slowed a bit, I put on a baby Mooselook to match the YOY. Three of us fished 4 rods with these things and we murdered them. Final tally was 17 salmon, 5 lakers, and 2 bows.( one was 20 in) We even caught a dozen bass/white perch.
Salmon were very healthy. Biggest was maybe 3 lbs. Highlight of the day was a 7 1/2 lb laker I got on that tiny Mooselook which was a personal best.Took some photos of the laker, revived her and let her go. Only kept one salmon and one bow between us.I felt like a genius when I left.LOL Almost forgot. 2.4 to 2.8 was the speed. Very rough out there from the start.7-9 colors and 35 feet off the rigger with no blades. JoeG
