I blame it on trolling the go to fast boat don't show as bad the only thing i've found to remove it is A-BEN-A-QUI, it's a paste made right in bedford NH web adress ezqui.com.I don't work for these people or get any commisions from sales this stuff just works.Hope this helps BARRY
I've been trolling with this motor for five years without this problem. I notist there was the same material on my neighbor's boat near the gas cap, and he doesn't troll with that boat???
I will try and get some of that material to clean the boat. I was able to clean the outside of the motor.
