Never know who is Listening

I have very few people that i talk to about my separation but one is really listening. Over the Holidays I received a certified slip for a letter to pick up. I thought it was from my lawyer but neverthe less I went to get it. I was given an evelope like a card. When I opened the envelope there was a card inside that said that I do not have to carry my troubles all by myself just give them to god. On the inside handwritten was a note that said " I admire your faith and courage to do what you did, take this $150 dollars and spend it as you wish!. I was shock and happy that someone thought enough of me to send me a money order for $150. In the signature part it said from one of God's children to another. The return address was from a P.O. box so I can't trace it and it came from a town that I don't know anyone. Who could have done such a nice thing? May God bless them!
Remember ladies we are examples for the ones who do not have the faith or courage to leave. Lets hold our heads high and thank God for all we have (Peace)

Re: Never know who is Listening

Amazing things happen when we least expect it. I wanted to take some classes with my daughter for self-esteem and to deal with the divorce, but the class cost 150 dlls I can probably pay for me but not for my daughter. I was talking to a new friend I just met through another friend. Now it turns out, they are trying to find a sponsor for my daughter. We don't know yet, but we are really touched, that a person who doesn't really know us want to do something nice for us.

How cool! Hopefully someday we will be in a position to do the same thing for someone else. At Christmastime I received a card at work. Everything was type written. Inside there were 3 gift cards. One with my name on it, and one with each of my boys' names on them. The note inside included stipulations. I HAD to spend my gift card on me. I could take the other gift cards and buy gifts for my kids or I could give them the gift cards. I sat in my classroom and cried. I cried again on Christmas morning when my kids were opening their gifts. I can at least narrow it down to 120 people...I have my suspicions, but don't know for sure.

Thanks for sharing your story.

Re: Never know who is Listening

No matter how bad this world or personal situations seem to get, there are still people who light the darkness with their compassion and love. That's a lesson for all of us to carry and pass on to our children.
