My husband has a current support order for his children from a previous relationship. He is no longer working and we file joint returns for our income tax. Can my income be taken into account in determining the support amount for his children?
I also live in WA. They can take it from your tax return if he is delinquent. However when we redid child support after we were married the courts did not take my income into consideration. Don't know what happens if spouse is unemployed. Try calling your local CS enforcement office.
