When I was feeling trapped in a marriage to something I didn't love, it began to affect my mental health to be around him but I was always much happier staying at my mother's. So much that I'd stay away from him for months at a time. I'd only go back mainly because of my dogs (pets weren't allowed in my mother's apartment complex). A couple of times when I went back to see about my dogs, he'd go though my things to find and get rid of phone numbers I had of other guys. I've heard of some men who cheated on their wives but would physically assault the wife if she cheated on him. It doesn't make sense. Why not just give the wife a divorce when she suggested it in the first place?
