What level and what team?

Everyone is mad because he’s right. I just went through it with 2 boys. U-14 is when most of the platinum kids go play soccer golf and badminton. All those frequent flyer miles really paid off 😂😂😂. Truth hurts sometimes.

This guy doesn’t know anything. Minuteman and Greater lowell tech are Loaded with platinum kids. In youth hockey they were hitting tournaments in Alaska, New Zealand, Xiang yang province, Pyongyang, Belarus etc.

Any Platinum Team that does any plane trip is plain stupid!! There are plenty of Tournaments that you can drive to in NE, NY and Montreal. The problem is too many coaches are living there kids dream and if the parents don't go along with it, you get blackballed by the coach!!

Two kids currently in platinum. Both flying to do tourneys. Both teams decided unanimously to do them. Both teams did them last year with great experiences. Maybe you just dont have the time off work? Maybe not enough money?

Why do accept mediocrity in your home? So you are saying you failed not just once but twice to get your kid to level up. Not enough time? Don’t love them enough? Not enough money to get them the right opportunities ?

What if the coach just says “these are the tournaments this year” without any parent input or vote?

This has to be the 2012 Top Gun team he is talking about. My kid plays baseball with kids from that team. They are missing about a month of school this year to go winless in tournaments way over the kids heads and the parents are not happy. They had no say in the tournaments.

No surprise here. Just another coach living his kids dream and running his team like it’s the Junior Bruins!
