Re: Beantown

In previous years: You have 2 teams of known Prep Players, 1 Team of Jr Bruins and friends, and 1-2 teams of unknown prep players, Public HS, and FS kids.

Re: Beantown

And how do you know this? Where are the rosters?

Just saying from experience that's how teams are divided up. 2019 Rosters not out yet. Check the website.

Re: Beantown

And the kid going to a Q camp............. ,

Re: Beantown

Gate Fee?

Re: Beantown

It's legit. Has to be. There is a tab that lets you see which scouts are there. Many of them have the same hand writing, but a scout is a scout. Scouts = Legit Event. Everyone knows that. Duh.

Re: Beantown

Reggie, Can you get me some rosters? Nothing posted yet.

Little Reggie not get invited? Why you mad!

Re: Beantown

10 forwards? Really? That’s why we didn’t pay for this..

SCOUTS!!!!!!
Reggie likes men? He’s addicted to scouts? Like Boy Scouts?

Re: Beantown

everyone knows 10 forwards is ideal. if there is a injury, you have 3 lines, more importantly with 10 forwards the lines rotate, nobody gets stuck with the bad kid for all three games. sorry your kid didn't get an invite..rosters came out, a lot of quality kids going

Can’t please everyone, and yes 10 is perfect at this level and the grumpy guy knows this. Hope all those playing have a good time and perform well.

Re: Beantown

Pro division has both committed and uncommitted (some will never play college) and same for Committed division. Lots of 02s in both.

Re: Beantown

We demand rosters!!

Re: Beantown

Rosters on the website

Re: Beantown

Wow! Rosters are loaded. Scouts are scouting. What an event!
Is it too late to sign my kid up? He just got new skates and needs to break them in.
Is there a sign up link?

Re: Beantown

Invite only, your kid was already scouted during the season last year and not deemed D1 or "high" D3 caliber.

Re: Beantown

Sounds like someone is upset about getting fleeced here.
let me guess..... your kid got 'invited' after the third round of invites were sent out. after stroking that $400 check, you started puffing your chest out at the water cooler at work.....you showed up for the first skate, and low and behold, there was a third liner from your son's public hs team in the registration line 3 spots in front of you.

Re: Beantown

My chest is always puffed out, You could be right though, I should have known$400 was a bit much for an invite only showcase for my son that would supposedly provide 1 stop shop for the college/pro scouts in the stands. I guess if it was a real showcase, the deep pocketed college/pro teams would fund these showcases and invite the truly elite players, free invites in which families would break long distance vacation plans over.

Are the 07/06's on D1 watch lists as well?

It's kind of like in the business world where you don't pay recruiters to find you a job.

Re: Beantown

06/07 age group is highly sought after by the colleges at this time. It's very easy to predict how 11/12/13 yr olds will be in 7/8/9 years from now. Everybody knows that.

Most importantly, that $400 was well spent. College letters with full boats will be arriving in the mail shortly.
Just ask the scouts.

Re: Beantown

In our showcase wrap up we focus on the Futures Division:
Nationals- Team was great from top to bottom. Many D1 athletes in that group.
Titans- Solid group of players with some surprise players outshining the usual suspects. Not sure about D1 but D3 potential without a doubt.
Hombres- Group did not play their best here
Braves- Hard working group but need more

Gate fee is absurd at an event like this. Sunday’s lunch was very good. Kids said coaches didn’t speak and when they did it was not about the game, fix that.

Re: Beantown

Was there Monday night for my daughter's HS summer league championship. checked out a couple of the beantown games, the committed game was very good fast hockey. The Pro level game was not that good, Public HS without checking.

d-man on Nationals was only quality 04 and he had an own goal! That team was complete dominated by 03s

Re: Beantown

Ya need to go back and watch the tape again, this time pay attention

Re: Beantown

Have to agree, 03's dominated and my son is an 04 who played in that. Watched Nationals and Titans play against each other and my sons teams, those 03's from both teams were much faster and smarter than the 04's.
