Re: Belmont Hill

Same thing is probably going to happen that has happened at other past powerhouses. New parents come in don't like the way the program is being run (Code for their kid was cut, or was yelled at) and complain to a new head of school. The new head caves because he is new and thinks his job is to please the parents. Meanwhile you are usually left with a new coach who will last 5 years...Rinse and repeat with new batch of parents and new coach.
Belmont Hill isn’t considered a hockey powerhouse. Teams are filled with lower end players with no hockey sense. EHF Rainbow players etc.....

If your kid is a decent player you already know this tho.....

Learned the hard way. Glad I got a free year out of Bel Hill. Taking my kid back to Everett High for a year then onto MC. Super 8 here we come!

You could not be any more wrong. BH is on an uptick and with some coaching changes, you will see an almost instant champion...fact. No other area schools even close as far as in house talent goes. New coach is going to come as a surprise.

Is it the young guy? I heard he is very good!

Re: Belmont Hill

Young guy is nice, D3 college coaching background. Not cut out to survive BH. Coaching carrousel will soon match BBN down the street.

Run away!

In house talent, lol! Thanks Dad!

Re: Belmont Hill

Disagree completely. Team will be very deep the next two years. Pretty obvious to anyone that has watched the team the past 2 years.

Re: Belmont Hill

i just think its interesting that they still have the old coach posted on website and nothing about the new coach. does that mean its still to be decided? as a parent, i certainly would want to know who the coach is ahead of 4/10.

Re: Belmont Hill

Been watching them for the past 5+ years. Talent level has dropped every season. Too many friends and family. High end local kids refuse BH and their “recruiter.”

Re: Belmont Hill

HHA is their recruiter.

Re: Belmont Hill

future of bel hill is based on middle school and freshman goalie talent.....sorta proves the point we’ve been making don’t it?

Great! You may be able to stop the goals, but who is going to score the goals for BH?

Poster is right. It's more about friends and family over there. Hasn't been a destination in a long time.

Yep, 24 - 30 in last two years for those not in the know. Our “In House” talent is so DEEP right now. Just ask our parents. Everyone will see BH is no longer the punch line around rinks.

Re: Belmont Hill

They are stacked with young goalie talent and do have some high end talent in the middle school. If they stick around for the education and don't jump around for "hockey reasons" the way some do for EHF teams they will be good.

Re: Belmont Hill

LOL. "Young goalie talent"..Rolleags!

LOL. "Young goalie talent"..Rolleags!
LMFAO...Young goalie talent from the East Coast Wizards and Assabet Patriots...give us a break goalie dad...

Re: Belmont Hill

LOL no goalies from wizards or patriots there. get your facts straight

Re: Belmont Hill

Goalie dad is talking about the rags goalie. Rolleags!!

Re: Belmont Hill

From what I've heard they have a The eagles 05 the Islanders 06 and Eagles 07 goalies.

Re: Belmont Hill

And wiz 04/u18. Doesn’t really matter without the horses in front of them.

BH has the best DMEN. You guys obviously don’t know anything.

Re: Belmont Hill

He’s graduating, rest would be on jv if not for connections.

Re: Belmont Hill

Lol, you clearly have not been to games the past 2 years. D remains their strength

Re: Belmont Hill

Thanks for the chuckle dman dad.

Sorry to say, beyond the princeton bound defender nothing there. Who knows maybe some middle schoolers will come in next season and solidify the d-corps LOL

Re: Belmont Hill

Way to have your facts straight. The other graduating D is going to Babson to play hockey. The five returners are all upper classmen, are on top select teams around here and have been on the Belmont Hill team since their freshmen or sophomore year. Some of those five returners will play college hockey. They don't need the middle schoolers to solidify their D but go on and spout your nonsense. The D and goalies have been known as the strength of the team for the past five years. Sounds like someone got a rejection letter...

Re: Belmont Hill

Agree, strong players on D that will continue to be solid and one or two likely will play college hockey at a decent level

Typical...Belmont Hill gets everyone's backup players. Other schools get everyone's starters.

Hockey program is not good there, just above BBN.

Re: Belmont Hill

as long as the rest of the ISL learns to shoot high, they will be all set.

Re: Belmont Hill

im the OP and was inquiring about the coach. not the goalies. not the dmen. def not the middle schoolers

not interested in others criticizing the kids or program, just facts on the coach, if anyone has them

Re: Belmont Hill

You’re not asking the right question.

At bel hill any coach, current or otherwise, has minimal pull compared to the AD and trustees.
