Re: ISL - Keller vs. Eberhart

Clearly you know very little about isl schools. It’s ok, you’re probably the same guy who thinks Pope Francis is a prep school.

Rivers. Jeesh.

Re: ISL - Keller vs. Eberhart

If your kid wants hockey, go Keller schools and it's not even close. Look at the inter division schedule: LA, Nobels, Thayer, St Sebs, Milton, Bel Hill--all very legit hockey programs. St Marks and Rivers are great but the rest goes weaker on the hockey front Groton had a good run last few years. The Eberhart plays a very soft schedule, except for the few out of conference independent schools so over time you really don't know how good you are playing against weaker opponents. Just get on elite pro prospects and reverse engineer the rosters over last 5 years and see what programs have had most kids get D1 or NESCACs and choose accordingly based on your needs.

Re: ISL - Keller vs. Eberhart

Very few kids are playing at the next level from ANY ISL schools. Even less D1. They certainly aren’t making a living playing hockey in the next 10 years, so why not choose the best academic school you can get into that you will also succeed at in the classroom? Anyone making decisions based on Elite Prospects shouldn’t go the prep route (and most definitely not ISL Eberhart) to begin with. You have loftier goals in hockey (with a minuscule chance of achieving), so just keep grinding it out and stay in public high school. Or if you have some coin to blow and want to tell your friends your kid is in “prep” school, send em to a Thayer, Dexter, Cushing or LA. Academics below a decent public high school but better hockey.

Now wait for the response from book worm liberal tin foil retard guy.....

My son went to on of those lesser schools you mentioned and is now at Harvard. That education is pretty good.
My cousins kid went to another of those schools and just graduated from BC. That education is pretty good.
Just saying.

Re: ISL - Keller vs. Eberhart

Congratulations! Great schools (the colleges of course ). Further information required though. Connected? NHL bloodlines? Playing hockey there? Students only?

Let’s see.. connected: no. NHL bloodline: no, but Dad played D1 Football at another school, playing Hockey: Yes, Students only: Majoring in Biology. Not sure how this helps, but Truth.

Re: ISL - Keller vs. Eberhart

I would argue that it makes little difference (the school I mean). Prep hockey is not where you go to get developed. The games are 1 to 2 lines fighting eachother and other kids sprinkled in. Practices are a mixed bag and only a small part of a coaches day. Good schools are good because of how generous they are to pure hockey playing men.

Education and experience are what we looked at and a chance to play consistently on a bench that is not 5 lines deep.
I have seen good players at plenty of schools and the fact one or two come from one schools and 10 come from another says nothing about the program other than their ability to get guys to comit who were already on their way.

Guys come from all over and every parent is looking for that magic program or person. The only one that matters is your kid. Talent and work ethic, simple.
