Some folks think politics disappear at the high school level. While it may diminish at some schools, it is alive and well at others. It just changes shape from how it operated at the youth levels.
We are just teaching the young men some valuable life lessons. (1) for those without skill, it's all about who you know, one they are unknowingly learning from an early age and (2) for those with skill, there are only a few organizations (schools & hockey clubs) that pride themselves on rostering the best players, and it's those org's that rise above all the others, they need to set their expectations accordingly...
I think he is alluding to the fact that very few high end players play public/catholic hockey anymore. Jr leagues have destroyed mass hs hockey. It’s still fun-but the level of play has diminished significantly. Prep is what d1 public/catholic uses to be-and now juniors are what prep used to be….facts.
