Re: USPHL NCDC vs NAHL

Goalie parent
How does the USPHL NCDC level and the NAHL compare from a goalie perspective? D1 looking at him with a few interviews/visits but no commitments yet but do not want him out west in USHL unless he had a D! commit prior.[/quote

]Don't worry USHL is not really an option for a New England goalie without a commitment. Even with one it is still unlikely! Recent NHL drafted goalies were cut and ended up in the NAHL.

You have far less say in the matter then your realize. The fact that you even have these ideas means your goalie is very good! Wish you the best!!

Goalie Parent, what is the best New England based goalie training your child has ever done?

Re: USPHL NCDC vs NAHL

NAHL produces D1 talent. USPHL produces D3. No comparison.

Re: USPHL NCDC vs NAHL

Thanks! We work with a former StopIt coach. Always like to hear what else is out there. Brian Eckland supposed to be good but I’m not battling traffic to Hingham to get there! Good luck with your goalie! I would pose your question above on the private FB page “hockey goalieparents”.... you’ll get input from Mitch Koran and others who know their stuff from a nation wide perspective.

Re: USPHL NCDC vs NAHL

NCDC is a joke. They lost more commitments than gained in their first year.

Everybody's losing commits. A school can't commit 30+ kids and keep them all. #biglie

Yeah, ask the Islanders how many of their players have been decommitted, they have had more get decomitted than being committed.
