The kid has been hurt every year on every level since his freshman year in High School. He has no work ethic off the ice and is injury prone because of it. He is done on every level and he tried to hide the injury initially from the Blackhawks, whiched ****** them off.
Hard to hide a shoulder injury like that at the NHL combine. You should know your kid was there too right......or not.
JW is soft, always was always will be...2 assists at BU in 12 games, isn’t exactly what they were hoping for but then again they did commit him a long long time ago; little did they know that he wasn’t going to be good.
Everything must seem soft when you travel the hard scrabble road of unfulfilled dreams while constantly trying to swallow the bitter pill of parental inferiority. Chin up though, SNHU could field a club team next year.
Is he out at BU also?
You really need to reevaluate your life if you are ripping an 18 year old who is injured. You are nothing more than a jealous scumbag.
This thread cracks me up. JW and all the others like him know the deal! Simple, perform or get kicked to the curb, the days of everyone kissing his backside are over. These D1 coaches get paid a lot of money and there is no room for a mediocre player like JW at a place like BU. D3 is litter with Youth Hockey “all-stars”. The game has a way of humbling people. Maybe you clowns could use some of that.
I heard BU is not having him back next year. Any truth on that??
I never thought I would say this but... wait for it...
JW got cut !!!
“Sorry Your JW Got Cut!”
“... just as good as Jack Eichel was at the same age.” - Jeff Cox
JW is a very good hockey player. The problem is all the local baffoons who don't have a clue, and through the years started projecting unrealistic expectations and comparisons. When you are projecting a 12 year old as the next great one that shows how little you know how hockey works. If you go back to any of the old articles there are no real credible hockey people making these projections. They are all made by local program owners and HS coaches and local sports beat writers. These are people all in the Mass hockey Bubble. These are the people that built up this local mythical status and made it almost impossible for anyone to live up to. He is still a very good hockey player and Still has a lot of good hockey left in him. He just isn't the generational talent people said he was.
So JW was better than JE at 10-12 yrs old? Lol...,I believe the previous point about baffoons falls into that statement. Those years are not real hockey. You are the problem with a statement like that. That's why people are all over the poor kid now. Because of statements like he was better pre 13 than JE. That's irrellivent.
I heard JW’s agent/advisor dropped him and BU took his scholarship away. That could be false but the truth always comes out. We will have to see and if it does PW will be jumping off the Tobin. Kid should have taken the free education instead of shooting for the moon with an NHL contract. Could have gone to a great prep school and then a great D1 hockey school of his choice. Instead went to a public highschool in Michigan and will be lucky to get credits toward an associates degree from BU. Avon Old Farms and Yale would go a lot further in my mind.
JW and his last agent lied to the Blackhwaks about his injury which is pretty bad, also why BU is losing interest quickly, that and 2 points in 12 games will do that. Bottom line is JW is soft and continues to underachieve. D3 is still good hockey and that’s about where he should be playing.
Looks like he will be working at Dynamic for a living. Hopefully he can get a highschool coaching job to help get out of that basement apartment one day.
The guy who says should have gone prep instead of playing on the National team is the sane guy who thinks prep hockey is the cat’s pajamas. Clueless
Going to Prep school is better than a GED
I can tell you this much. I would hire a kid with a degree from Cornel or Dartmouth before a kid with a practical arts degree from BU Highschool. Kids should focus on education instead of shooting pucks in the basement. Parenting 101.
Except the focus on hockey is why he is going to college for free and you and your kid had to pay. Your actually crapping on a BU degree? We get it, your kid didn't get the PP time you wanted due to JW being on the team. To say I would hire a kid from Cornell over BU just show's you how childish you are in an attempt to put the kid down. Worry about you and your own and the world will be a better place.
Most kids that go the NTDP route do not pan out to have NHL careers or even minor league careers. Check the facts. JW's parents dropped the ball big time with the parenting thing. Imagine if your kid had an opportunity to go to Harvard and you let him turn it down. Wake up !
JW is no genius, Harvard and Yale would not be options. Only reason why BU is an option is he is majoring in hockey. He skated thru CC and did not break any academic records, prep school would have required him to study and just like the off ice training it is not what he likes to do.
Rumor has it he didn't return to school this week.
You people really need to get lives and stop focusing on an 18 year old boy
JW’s days are over at BU. If he gets to the gym and rehabs he has a future in D3. His buddies from Dynamic will get him a shot somewhere.
Just image the money JW's parents have invested in hockey. I heard they spent over $50,000 on the Shot Doctor alone. I few years ago he was projected to be the first overall nhl draft pic. So I could see the investment. Just doesn't look good for him going forward.
Never understood the attraction. Saw him play in high school and a big public school defender just schooled him, I was left scratching my head.
I saw him get lit up a couple of times in high school skating with his head down; he did not repsond well after those hits. But he did have a big mouth in the locker room, didn’t exactly win over his teammates. Sounds like not much has changed, no need for BU to put up with a player who is always in the training room and not exactly a team guy.
Sounds like three careers are over, including the genius who quoted the original poster
I have no relations or even know JW, but the people who continue to criticize the kid. What cowards, I'm sure your a great role model to your kids.
This is not criticism, these are people sharing facts related to the multi million dollar business of NCAA Hockey. Time for JW to grow up if he is going to stick around.
So did JW withdraw from school?
Yup. Either withdrew or ask not to come back. Essentially the same thing.
He is still on the roster, dumb _ss. It must be tough for you to deal with it.
