Eshow teams didn’t do very well in battle of Boston. Watched multiple teams with EHL kids asses handed to them. Only wins they had were against weaker teams filled with 03’
Jr Rangers lost one came 21-1 to bunch of nahl kids. A team full of ct chiefs lost 13-1. Another team with a variety of kids from eshow age outs lost to bunch of 03’s
Maybe time down size tier3. And some of these kids to play club hockey sooner.
Why you so butt hurt, guy? If your kid's in the NAHL, I'm happy for him. If people want to spend their $$$ on Tier III, how does that impact you? If your kid got cut, well, comparing EHL to NAHL doesn't really reflect well on your kid, 'cause he's below that.
And, go back to Kiddie Board with that juvenile attitude.
I agree that Tier III needs to contract, but not based on this limited sample. Summer teams aren't winter teams. Junior teams go in 20 different directions when the season ends, this year more than ever. I'd say it's easier for a NAHL team to put together a patchwork tournament team than an EHL team.
NAHL numbers going to D-I are dropping. More likely path now to D-III, which the EHL sends basically all of their better kids to. So, NAHL kids and EHL kids become teammates. Do you really think the gap is that wide?
Doesn't that ax you're grinding get kinda heavy after a while?
nahl had 200 d1 commits this year
Huge difference between the NAHL and EHL.
Yup. Top line/pair in EHL is probably bottom line/pair on MOST teams in the NAHL. Maybe even 13th or 7th F/D.
But, the dilution of the NAHL through expansion does bring the levels of play closer to each other.
My kid had a choice. He is following the advice of his agent. Playing top pair and special teams here is going to get him more looks from NE colleges than bottom pair and sometimes being a healthy scratch in ABQ or Odessa.
So, if that's a "huge" difference, then the difference is huge.
Haha sorry you’re kid wasn’t good enough to make an NAHL team. If your advisor told you to play in EHL over NAHL you should fire him. He most likely wasn’t able to find your kid a spot on a team so selling it as be a go to guy in EHL to collect another 3,500 from you come September. The 13th forward on a NAHL team would be top 5 in player in league.
EHL tier-3 cost is huge too. NAHL tier-2 is free, could have saved you around $10k for college.
Hope it works out choosing pay to play.
I'm fascinated with all the attention for the NAHL, and listening to parents who put down other leagues. The NAHL is only good for goalies, outside of that, if you go DI, then your pretty much aging out in that league, and looking to be a 3 or 4th liner with a college team. NAHL also has many kids who end up D3. It's interesting how much that league is talked about here on the DBoard
