Hitmen will fold have no full season teams have to buy ice for the whole year and cannot do it.
Crimson in big trouble. 25% at best staying. Owner took our money, no ice, no off-ice, no place to play next year. Parents bolting left and right. Stay clear.
Hitmen done completely at all levels. Caps trying to buy them as well. No youth level so nothing to build on.
Crimson youth levels folding and will only have u16 and u18 teams. They don't have any teams at the mite or squirt levels this year and mass defections taking place at the 02 and 03 levels. No home rink and playing on a Brockton and Nobles school.
Conqi's losing ice in Hingham to BA so losing lots of players as well. No where to play.
Bulldogs terrible reputation so people flying out of there as quick as they can. Won't fold but will be in trouble. River Hawks will benefit from their misfortunes.
The new Boston Jr Huskies program won't get off the ground as the rinks probably not opening and no talent going there.
I thought the Hitmen and the Saints had merged? or in the least had an arrangement that allowed both to survive? RI hockey is a mess. There are a few people who are in it for the kids and want to see development but unfortunately they are undermined by greed. How do you expect the kids to get better when you cut skills and take ice time away yet charge more? it makes no sen$e.
Rumor is the DBoard is looking to buy an organization.....re-name them the 'DBoard Doozies"
Does anyone have any info on saints and hitmen actually merging or folding? Tryouts are posted for both.
Saints and Hitmen not folding and both will be out of WW. Hitmen is in trouble though Saints is good.
Both are treading water, Hitmen have only a few half season teams and a horrible Squirt team. They will be done by November and down to 1or 2 teams (bad ones at that). Saints are a mess and everyone knows it. They have burned so many bridges no good players will go there. When you have multiple open skates that nobody attends, you know it ain't good! E9 will boot them out in a year or so anyway.
Actually the Saints are fine. Ice time is spread out but secured and a lot of new blood moving in to repair some of those burned bridges that definitely do exist around RI. Rebuilding from the ground up with some good coaches and drawing a lot of new players.
We shall see if they're fine. They already dropped trying to have 2 teams per level, and teams are blowing up. Kids are leaving at every level. People are waking up and seeing these teams aren't woth it. When you pull kids from town 2 and 3 teams and call it elite, it doesn't work. Good Luck!
Entire caps 03 elite team going there next year
