Nobody is blowing up but this is the year with a get rid of them tiny kids
A lot of mommies and daddies dreams get crushed next year at this level when they realize their little Gretzky not only won't play college but may not play high school
Breakers also making changes- u14 teams being put together now in both EHF and E9 both leagues will look alot different next year at the 03 level.
I agree the smaller player will have a hard time at this level next year but the bigger kids who get mad when they are touched will also struggle and take penalties.
Coaches start focusing on special teams now, next year 80% of the game will be PP or PK.
The kids that aren't afraid of contact now will do just fine...big or small...
There are plenty of big kids that come off crying...still...when they take even the smallest hit...
Keep in mind...the smaller kids are likely those that haven't grown yet so the size they are now...may not be the size they are in September
Every year parents get all worked-up over the introduction of checking and at the end of the day it isn't a big deal. Especially now when the refs call everything it tapers off once the kids have to sit in the penalty box. A hit too high, too low, too hard, open ice, boarding, roughing, from the side...gets a whistle now. Yeah you have to skate with your head-up but our little babies have now had an extra two years to learn to handle the puck without starring it down so they'll be O.K.
Nice to see someone else gets it.
so who is going where??
From what I hear:
Eagles dropping some picking up VJW players
Kings loose 3 to Flames
Breakers loose some to Terriers
Caps hoping to grab a few, not offering contracts to all current players
Bandits, well, they are the Bandits
What about our friends from Enfield are they still in?
VJW 03 Elites staying intact. Thats a fact, Jack!
Last I checked VJW 03 were not in the FED
Correct. Previous poster mentioned 3 VJW players going to Eagles. Hence my response about VJW staying intact.
insider, i hope you are right but they make a very good sales pitch to the kids they want every year.
How many of the Kings are going D-1?
Zero... They are 12
03 Kings losing some key talent to u14.
U14 would be a step up in competition right?
Wouldnt you play 1 year of Bantam Minor and then go to U14? Or is the progression different now?
TG losing best player to U14.
Kings get even smaller next year...if that is even possible...
Where will these guys play U14? Do the Kings and Top Gun have full year U14?
VJW and BA
SSK losing a few more...what's going on in "the Kingdom"?
Kingdom a thing of the past.
After PW Major year, no reason to put up with any BS or drive 50 miles to get to practice chasing that Q bid. So yeah, I'm sure lots of movement.
Top Gun losing Big D to U14
Caps losing at least 5
Breakers and Terriers losing best players to Eagles
Islanders will be only team to compete with Eagles
Kings losing players
Flames taking a few Caps
Falcoms losing some to Flames and CT hockey
Bandits are the bandits
With all this turnover, other than the Eagles and Islanders, rest of the league should be competitive?
What changes are the Islanders makeing that they will be the only team to compete with the Eagles?
Islanders dropping a few bottom players but staying in tact for the most part
