I heard only 4 kids at the 08 tryout. funny considering we were told teams were pretty much set...
Knights round 2!
Requests are going out by Supporters of the brothers to get bodies at tryouts. These teams in the Fall will be a disaster let alone not have a rink.
they are scrambling. they are actually looking at rejects from the Knights.
Anyone know which league this team will play in next year?
my guess is BHL along with all the other Lovell teams (Except BA) parity to get into E9 which they won't get in and then either BHL American or National.
let"s look at the facts: BA plays in E9 and BHL, A Ice play in BHL and had one team qualify for E9, LK play in BHL and had a couple of teams qualify for E9. Mites through Bantam. Ass clown.
This will be the preferred destination in southern New England within two seasons. The skills, facility, and coaching are three of the reasons why.
Who is coaching the U-14 Full season team?
The 07 team looks decent with some good skaters with size, too.
They can look good all they want they won't have a place to play
What makes you think that the rinks at least won't be done in time for the season?
Caps will be closing shop in 2 years.
Lovell plans on having 4 teams on ice for practice
This organization will do just fine in developing good hockey players.
Looks like the rink may be done in time... the question is what type of talent showed up at evals ?
Little Bro way over his head ,will not be able to run both programs ,Cant even run the one in Raynham right, They got no coaches , no organization etc Next Barletta in the making.
It appears that the coaches are set for every team.
You mean door openers. Not coaches.
Let's see how things play out in the fall. It may just be the new destination for youth hockey in a couple of years. Yogism: At some point, every successful hockey organization was new at the beginning, right?
Never bet against TL and JL....this will be huge!
The complex being built there in Attleboro is going to be a one-stop athletic/hotel complex.
With a crappy hockey program attached to it. Knights are awful, Giants will be worse
Okay. I know this is way out there, but, hey, he could renew the contract when the two years are up....just sayin.
If you idiots knew anything about ice contracts you would know they don't mean much. Buyer and seller can opt out each year. Just Sayin....
Are there still openings at U14 full season?
Ask the coach
Yes. Signing town kids (not kidding) left and right.
Are not (fact)
95 not taking flight this year and that is straight from TLs mouth.
True. Not enough kids.
Some teams not enough some teams enough.
Conversation with Zuzu Petals was like masturbating with a cheese grater: slightly amusing, but mostly painful. This 95 nonsense is the same!
OK...I'll bite, so humor me. Please just speak the truth and facts of the questions below that you seem to know so much about.
1) What levels will field teams?
2) Of these levels, where are the kids coming from, meaning, what legitimate organizations are these world beaters currently playing for?
3) Who are coaching these teams? Seems like JL is coaching every team there? Busy guy next fall?
4) Why no real website up?
5) If program is going to happen, and such interest, why are all older kids levels tryouts being pushed to a later date? ie, not happening....
They signed a contract for 10 years of ice. So that tells you they are committed to establishing another program.
True, they will not be able to field teams at certain levels... no 06 team. while other ages will field one team that will be struggling as they offer contracts to kids cut from LK and BA AAA programs.
Not ideal bit this is how you build a program. Have to start somewhere, take whoever and weed them out over the next few years and upgrade.
Lovell has run his course. He's now become a tired act.
Yeah, the college teams are starting to look elsewhere for talent... I don't think they're worried.
^^^^^above poster is correct overheard a few of instructors talking in Hingham 3 weeks ago.
how is the program "losing money" they had more teams this year in Raynham than any other year, with more kids on each team.. They are making money hand over fist. They made more cash in eval fees the past few weeks than some programs make in a year...as long as ****ty town kids want to play "AAA" and actual "AAA" kids want to pay to play "Elite" they will continue to rake it in. A club program in a rink that they do not own or manage is a cash cow. They need to pay for ice and coaches. Thats it !! the rest is profit, and taking in 40k in eval fees for 2000 bucks in ice time sounds like a successful business model.
Most of their team's only have 2 full lines. Can't make bank on those numbers.
All they care about is who is going to pay and who is going to stay,Knights program is like a revolving door ,Signing town kids and moving the kids who were cut to giants ,and the kids and coaches who have been in the program are fed up and leaving for other teams, Pretty soon you will have the New NEH of southeastern ma. All there teams playing each other, Plus there ego is bigger than their tuition Good Luck
Toto, we aren't in Hingham any more!
No, we're at New England Sports Village!
Not opening this year at 95. Essentially 2 seasons out. Will close down Raynham and shift the whole shabang over to Attleboro.
No, you were told that practices would be in Raynham IF the ice wasnt ready in Attleboro.
No You were told to go to 95 because the knights signed town kids and there is not a spot for you , But pay 4,000 grand and we got one , and don"t tell little bro different cause He is the boss and he knows it all.
Any idea who the 04 coach will be? Any chance that it's OV?
Then they should be really good.
What if this program resembles AI or BA more than LK? And, really there is nothing wrong with LK. There are some good coaches slated for next season at 95. We'll see where it goes.
RB,AB,SW and BJ
TL and JL have been developing quality players for years into the college and junior ranks. What makes you think things will change now? They won't.
I guess the old man coming out of retirement to coach the 08s. The guy is a coaching legend and they will be a force to be reckoned with possibly the new world beaters to surpass the flames.
"The original Tweet Tweet"
Just curious, any idea what the jersey will look like? Islanders colors?
They will be crap yellow and green. They will say LK across the front as this program not launching next year and all players will be forced as second-team Knights
Edmonton Oilers, baby!
How does 07s and 08s look
The 07's look like they will compete very well. Come to tryouts on Saturday at 11:20 and see for yourself.
They are working really hard to put some competitive teams together. There will be growing pains like any successful program at the beginning. But, when this organization is established, why won't they be as good as any other E9 or BHL American team? and, they'll have a skating facility that will be new and very accommodating. Go Giants!
Drove by new rink today and spoke to one of the construction foremen. He said first sheet will be ready mid-Feb 2017.
Even if what you say is true, aren't some things worth waiting for?
The 95 Giants will be fine....relax. All organizations have some teams that do some post tryout recruiting, if you will.
My kid signed up!!
Several very competitive defectors from other notable conferences has signed up. Go Giants!
I signed with these guys they better have a team for my kid!
Registrations will be opening soon I heard.
Full season filled with town b players, LK rejects and kids cut from other programs. Check please!
You sound pretty bitter sorry your kid didn't make the team.
I sound like the guy who never responded to Joe asking my son to come play.
Sounds like you did him a solid by not wasting his time with you or your kid.
It will be interesting to see how these teams do. At the 03 level new teams didn't have a lot of success, in the EHF anyway.
Frankie, have you seen the new 95 Giants logo? Freaking awesome and original! Check out the web site www.95giants.com
It's awesome that this organization is getting noticed. The owners seem to have organized things very well from the beginning and are putting in the right coaches and skill instructors. We'll see how the teams fare, but, don't be surprised if this program becomes a choice place to play in the near future. Kudos to the parents and players that took the leap!
Looks like someone pulled it from Stan Lee's garbage can.
